Why I'm Building ProWeather: A Student's Journey to Modernize Weather Websites
I'm a student with a passion for weather data. Over time, I've noticed that many existing weather station website solutions don't take advantage of modern web technology. That's why I'm building ProWeather, and I'm excited to share what's coming.
The Problem: Weather Websites Stuck in the Past
If you own a WeatherLink station, you may have experienced this: professional-grade equipment collecting excellent data, but limited options for sharing it online.
Some current solutions have:
Designs that feel outdated
Interfaces that can be hard to navigate
Setup processes that take too much time
Layouts that don't adapt well to mobile devices
Limited customization without coding
Hosting costs that can be high for basic features
I believe there's an opportunity to make things simpler and more engaging.
