[07]FAQ

Questions, answered

How do I put my Davis weather station online?

Make sure your Davis station reports to the WeatherLink cloud through a WeatherLink Live, WeatherLink Console or datalogger, then paste your WeatherLink v2 API key into Pro Weather. We auto-discover your sensors and build a complete hosted weather website on a free subdomain or your own domain. No server, no code, live in minutes.

Which weather stations are supported?

Every Davis Instruments station connected to WeatherLink: Vantage Pro2, Vantage Vue and EnviroMonitor, including AirLink air-quality sensors. Beyond WeatherLink, Ecowitt and Fine Offset gateways push directly to your site, and weewx, Meteobridge or CumulusMX connect most other hardware. The compatibility page in our docs has the full list.

Do I need a paid WeatherLink subscription?

No. A free WeatherLink account can generate the v2 API key Pro Weather needs. From the moment you connect, we archive every reading ourselves, so your charts, records and history keep growing even on WeatherLink’s free plan.

Can Pro Weather upload my data to Weather Underground, WOW or CWOP?

Yes. Pro sites (and trials) can publish every reading to Weather Underground, Met Office WOW, CWOP, Windy, AWEKAS, Weathercloud and more, plus MQTT and InfluxDB for your own dashboards. Enter each service’s credentials once and uploads ride every refresh automatically.

Can I use my own domain name?

Yes. On Pro you can connect one or more custom domains with a simple CNAME record. SSL certificates are issued and renewed automatically. No configuration needed.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Each site has its own simple plan (monthly or yearly) that you can cancel whenever you like, and the trial requires no credit card. No contracts, no surprises.
