Why Does Weather Change?

why-does-the-weather-change_1Weather is the condition of the Earth’s atmosphere at a given place and time in regard to sunshine, dryness, precipitation, heat, wind, temperature, cloud cover, and air pressure.  Low pressure often triggers cloudy weather and precipitation.  High pressure typically generates fair or pleasant weather in which there is no precipitation, visibility is optimal, cloud coverage of the immediate sky area is less than 3/8, and there are no extremes in temperature or winds.

Climate Change Indicators: Weather and Climate

The Earth’s climate has been changing over the past century, but it has accelerated over the last 30 years.  Climate change indicators include rising temperatures, shifting rain and snow patterns, and other severe climate events.  These changes are associated with elevated atmospheric concentrations of greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, methane, and a number of fluorinated gases.  These gas emissions are triggered by human activities.
